1. Log in to your  account and navigate to “F-1 Student Services” located in the menu
2. Select the e-form: “ELP Program Completion I-20 Update.”
3. Complete the e-form. You will need to answer questions about:
   1. Proof of funding. Personal or family funds are okay (ex. certificate of deposit). View Estimated Expenses for Study for guidance on amount based on your campus and degree level. It may be possible for you to submit a copy of the funding documentation you provided at the time of admission provided it was issued within the last 6 months and demonstrates sufficient funds.
   2. Travel plans over break
   3. Alternative non-91°µÍø email account
   4. Anticipated local U.S. address for the next semester

Provided you submit a complete request with proof of sufficient funds, ISSS will issue your updated I-20 and email the document to your 91°µÍø email account after final grades are available for your ELP Level 4 classes. The I-20 will also have a travel signature so that you can re-enter the U.S. if you choose to travel internationally over the break period. You cannot use your previous ELP I-20 to re-enter the U.S.

Important Reminder

ISSS cannot issue you a new I-20 without this request. ISSS asks requests be submitted no later than the start of the last month of the term (May 1, August 1, or December 1) to ensure we are able to issue your new I-20 promptly after the end of the term and before the final deadline.

• If you complete the ELP successfully, you will have a 60 day grace period after completion of study. Your I-20 must be updated during this grace period and before your undergraduate or graduate studies begin.
• If you do not complete the ELP successfully, your I-20 must be updated before it expires. There is no grace period. As long as we receive your request by the deadline and it is your first semester in level 4 of the English Language Program, ISSS will extend your I-20 for an additional semester.
