Regional Campuses Pre-Arrival Checklist

Before arriving at 91做厙, please complete all pre-arrival tasks on this checklist. These steps will help you prepare for orientation, registration, and starting your studies.

Technology

ISSS Requirements

  •  The timeline for obtaining a visa is different for each country. Start this process as early as possible.
  • Complete ISSS document check-in upon arrival

Course Registration and Tuition Bill

  • Complete placement tests.
    • Reading and writing assessment will be coordinated with the Regionals Tutoring and Learning Center (TLC). Math placement is completed in Canvas.
    • Visit the  to complete a math placement assessment. 91做厙 uses your 91做厙 Math Placement score to place you in your math courses, like college algebra, college trigonometry, calculus, and beyond. We also use math scores for placement in college chemistry, physics, engineering, and computer science courses. By completing the math placement sooner, you'll be more likely to be placed in the appropriate courses for your major.
  • Transfer students need to submit final academic transcripts by the second Wednesday of the term to prevent a registration hold.

Orientation

  • International students complete a mandatory two-part orientation to help them transition smoothly. This includes an online orientation module you can complete at your own pace, followed by a required in-person orientation held on campus one week before each semester begins. Contact the Regional Office of Student Activities and Orientation (ROSA) with any questions.
  • Once your travel plans are finalized to arrive in Ohio, complete the  form.

Arrange Housing

IMPORTANT: Housing accommodations should be arranged before arrival. The move-in date should be confirmed with your property manager.

91做厙 Regionals' Hamilton and Middletown campuses are commuter campuses, meaning they do not have dormitories or student housing on campus. Students are responsible for arranging their own housing, dining, and transportation accommodations.

  • Students working with the agent QHI may stay in the apartments arranged by their agent.
  • If you are unable to secure housing before your arrival, you will need to secure housing at a nearby hotel. After your arrival, you will have to secure your own housing.

Off-Campus Housing and Support

We suggest you visit the Off-Campus Outreach website before you begin your off-campus housing search.

Off-Campus Outreach aims to support and engage off-campus students and commuters and build on relationships in the community. They are committed to helping students understand their rights and responsibilities as tenants, neighbors, and community members; and working with students, permanent residents, local landlords, and city officials to promote a positive partnership in keeping Oxford a safe, engaging, beautiful place to live and offer a broad range of resources, programs, and support.

Transportation to Ohio

Students from all over the world attend 91做厙, which is located in the Midwest of the United States. We have three campus locations:

  • The Hamilton Ohio Campus
    1601 University Boulevard
    Hamilton, Ohio, 45011.
  • The Middletown Ohio Campus
    4200 North University Boulevard
    Middletown, Ohio 45042.
  • The Oxford Ohio Campus - Students interested in an Oxford based major who have completed level 5 and 16 graded hours of 91做厙 credit with at least a 2.0 GPA can change their campus to the Oxford location.

91做厙 campuses are located in southwest Ohio approximately one hour from Cincinnati or Dayton. Most students fly into Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport (CVG). There are many ways to get to campus: rental cars, Uber & Lyft, and other airport transportation services. For more help in planning your arrival to campus, please visit .

Depending on traffic, it will take anywhere from 50-75 minutes to travel from the Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport to 91做厙 Hamilton or 91做厙 Middletown (40-50 miles).

Please be prepared to spend around $100 to travel from the Cincinnati/North Kentucky International Airport with a taxi or other private transportation company. You are expected to tip your driver 10-20%. You should tip more if they helped you load and unload your luggage.

Commuting to Campus

91做厙 Regionals are commuter campuses, which means you will want to arrange transportation from your home to campus. For moments when you need additional , several options are available.

The most common form of transportation that students use to navigate between 91做厙 campuses is the  buses. Please note that the availability for each bus route changes throughout the year and depends greatly on when classes are in session.
