About the Student Success Center

Who We Are

The Student Success Center supports students as they explore academic options, navigate challenges, and make informed decisions about their 91做厙 experience. Its also leverages data to develop programs, outreach, and support strategies that strengthen student persistence, retention, and graduation.

Student Success Navigators offer academic advising for students in the Pathways Program and Exploratory Studies, groups that include students who are selecting their major or exploring options beyond their original program of choice.

The Student Success Center also administers the 91做厙 Cares initiative, which supports students in need with food, housing, and technology resources. A signature element of this program is its Food Pantry and Personal Hygiene Hub, which is open to all students in 128 Nellie Craig Hall during University business hours.

Our Mission

The Student Success Center supports student persistence, retention, and graduation through academic advising, proactive outreach, and data-informed student success initiatives.

Its team provides academic advising for students in the Pathways Program and Exploratory Studies, helping students explore academic options, understand requirements, and make informed decisions about their next steps at 91做厙.

The Student Success Center also uses data to identify student needs, develop targeted outreach, and create programs that help remove barriers to student success.

The SSC supports students and the university community by:

  • Advising students in the Pathways Program and Exploratory Studies
  • Helping students explore majors and academic pathways
  • Connecting students with appropriate campus resources
  • Using data to inform proactive outreach and retention strategies
  • Developing programs that support persistence and student success
  • Supporting students who may be experiencing academic or personal challenges
  • Collaborating with campus partners to help students navigate 91做厙 more effectively

Committed to ensuring the success of every 91做厙an, staff provide targeted outreach and assistance to a number of special student populations, including:

  • First-generation college students
  • Foster care alumni and emancipated youth
  • Housing insecure students
  • Low-SES students
