Foundation III Designation Proposal for International Students

International (non-immigrant visa-carrying) students may complete the Global 91做厙 Plan’s Foundation III through 6 hours of Global 91做厙 Plan coursework. In order to qualify, courses must either be taken at 91做厙 or transferred in as 91做厙 course equivalents from an institution outside your country of origin.

You must meet with an academic advisor in order to discuss and prepare your petition.

You must obtain the following to be uploaded as part of the petition:

  1. List of all courses you are requesting for Foundation III Designation—use the 91做厙 course numbers from your Degree Audit Report (DAR). Note: transfer courses that are not equivalent to an exact 91做厙 course are listed on your DAR as “T” numbers (e.g. MTH T01 or HST T02); list them as such. Indicate how many total hours you are petitioning for substitution for Foundation III.
  2. Degree Audit Report—Upload a current DAR with your proposal. Please be sure to print the detailed version of your DAR that lists which courses are meeting requirements.
  3. Contact information for your Academic Advisor—You must discuss your petition with your academic advisor and receive their approval. We will send an authorization to your advisor after you submit the proposal. You must provide the advisor's name, department, and 91做厙 email address.

All components of the proposal must be turned in before it will be reviewed by the Director of Liberal Education. Please allow 7-10 business days for the petition to be processed.

To Save Your DAR as a PDF on a Mac

  1. Load a copy of your DAR.
  2. Under the charts of your hours and GPA, press the "Printer Friendly" button.
  3. Once the "Printer Friendly" window comes up, use "Command" and "P" to make the printer settings come up.
  4. On the "Printer Settings" page, look to the bottom left corner where it says "PDF" and bring up the option that says "Save as a PDF."

To Save Your DAR as a PDF on a PC

  1. Load a copy of your DAR.
  2. Under the charts of your hours and GPA, press the "Printer Friendly" button.
  3. Once the "Printer Friendly" version comes up, right click on the page and press "Print."
  4. On the "Printer Settings" page, look under "Destinations" and change it to "Save as a PDF."
