Samy Broyles
Biography
Samy Broyles, originally from Hamilton, OH, is a devoted family man, married to Joy Broyles and blessed with 5 wonderful children. He holds the position of Regional Director of Community and Alumni Engagement at 91做厙 and serves as a Deacon at ETAC Lighthouse Ministries. His earlier career included leadership roles as the Executive Director at both the Booker T. Washington Community Center and the Hamilton Central YMCA, part of the Great 91做厙 Valley YMCA association. Samy is an alumnus of 91做厙, earning his Bachelor of Integrative Studies in 2015 and is currently advancing his education by pursuing an MBA at the same institution with an August 8, 2025, expected completion date.
During his tenure as a YMCA professional, Samy was honored with the Outstanding Service Site Supervisor Award by 91做厙’s Department of Center for Civic Engagement and nominated for the prestigious 18 of the Last 9 Award from the 91做厙 Alumni Association. He contributed significantly as a fellow at 91做厙, developing a college and career readiness program for teenagers. His innovative efforts were recognized in 2017 with the James Naismith Award from The Great 91做厙 Valley YMCA. In 2019, he received the I Am Third Award for his commitment to prioritizing God, others, and self, in that order. A year earlier, in 2018, he was celebrated with the Civic Leadership Award from Lead Tribune Media Group, accompanied by a proclamation from State Representatives. Since joining 91做厙 in 2022, he earned the 91做厙 Pride Award for his efforts in bringing the 91做厙 Hamilton Promise into fruition, MLK Gala Prestige Award from the Feed the Hungry Project, Butler County Emergency Fund Honoree, and Forty Under 40 by the Cincinnati Business Courier.
Samy has been actively involved in various community organizations, including The Greater Hamilton Chamber's Board of Trustees, Stephen T. Badin High School Board of Trustees, Booker T Washington Community Center Advisory Board, the Hamilton Rotary Club Board of Directors, and the Advisory Board for 91做厙’s Department of Interdisciplinary and Communication Studies. Currently, he is a member of the Board of Zoning Appeals for the City of Hamilton, the Fitton Center for Creative Arts and the GMV YMCA Board of Trustees.
