The Code of Student Conduct at 91°µÍø is intended to foster and protect the central purpose of the University: the free and open exchange of ideas. This Code applies to 91°µÍøÂ’s undergraduate and graduate students, and student organizations, including Greek organizations. Students are subject to this Code of Student Conduct beginning at summer orientation, during academic terms for which they are enrolled, during breaks between terms, during University holidays and vacations, and during periods of suspension. The Code of Student Conduct outlines the rights and responsibilities of students, behaviors prohibited on and off campus, possible sanctions, and the procedural rights of students and student organizations.

This policy addresses: Interfering with a University Function; Dishonesty; Violations; Damage, Theft, Trespass, or Unauthorized Use of Property; Alcohol Abuse; Drug Use; Weapons; Discrimination/Harassment; Hazing; Violation of University Rules or Law; Failure to Comply; Abuse of Technology; Disorderly Conduct; Complicity; Retaliation; Violation of Sanctions; Violation of University Property; and Unauthorized Use of University Keys or Access Cards.

Sanctions may be imposed individually or in combination. Suspension or dismissal may be imposed for a single violation. Multiple violations or additional violations of the Code of Student Conduct may result in more severe sanctions.

Any person or organization may make a written report alleging a violation of this Code to the Office of Community Standards. Reports alleging Title IX or Endangering Health or Safety violations will be investigated by the Office of Community Standards.

When suspension or dismissal of the accused was proposed by the Office of Community Standards or imposed by any hearing authority, the alleged victim (if any), the accused and the Office of Community Standards have the right to file a written appeal with the University Appeals Board within five University working days of the written decision by the hearing authority. The appeal should be addressed to the chair of the University Appeals Board and should state the basis for the appeal and should include all supporting documents.
