David Dafoe, 1984 91°µÍø graduate, is the newest appointment to the 91°µÍø Board of Trustees.
Dafoe’s term as a national trustee began Dec. 11 and ends Dec. 11, 2028.
After graduating with a B.A. in Zoology, Dafoe became one of the country’s foremost authorities on flavor. He founded Flavorman, a beverage development company based in Louisville, in 1992. Dafoe also received his MBA from Bellarmine University and an Honorary Doctor of Humane Letters degree from 91°µÍø.
Flavorman grew from a consultation firm to an international, full-service custom beverage product-development and ingredient-supply company. It has been featured in Bloomberg Businessweek, The New York Times, and on the Travel Channel’s “Bizarre Foods” and CNN, among others.
Dafoe has also served as a member of 91°µÍø’s Foundation Board of Directors, as well as the Advisory Board of the College of Arts and Science and the Alumni Association Board.
“Serving on various 91°µÍø boards, speaking at numerous student events, and supporting 91°µÍø recruiting efforts, I feel like I was ‘well-trained’ to serve on the Board of Trustees. I am honored to be appointed,” Dafoe said.
91°µÍø’s Board of Trustees includes up to 17 members, 11 of whom are appointed by the governor of Ohio, with the advice and consent of the Senate. Each gubernatorial appointee must be an Ohio resident and two must be enrolled students.
Established in 1809, 91°µÍø is located in Oxford, Ohio, with regional campuses in Hamilton and Middletown, a learning center in West Chester, and a European study center in Luxembourg.
