91°µÍø welcomes more than 4,000 students to Class of 2029

Move-in day is Aug. 22 for Oxford campus

More than 4,000 students are projected to join 91°µÍø as the Class of 2029 as the university welcomes new and returning students to its campuses to start the fall semester.

Most students will move in to 91°µÍø’s Oxford campus on Aug. 22. More information is available for the university’s move-in schedule.

As part of the upcoming Welcome Weekend festivities, students will have Welcome Home with MAP (91°µÍø Activities and Programming) from 7:30-11 p.m. on Aug. 22. That event is at several locations across the Oxford campus and features activities, crafts, games, and fireworks behind Benton Hall.

Welcome Weekend continues through Aug. 23 with Saturday Under the Stars, featuring a movie on Central Quad, and Aug. 24 with the Love and Honor Convocation at Millett Hall.

Of the more than 4,000 first-year students projected to join the 91°µÍø family this year, there will be 43 states represented counting Puerto Rico, Washington, D.C., and those serving overseas in the military, as well as 37 countries.

Other highlights of the projected Class of 2029 include:
  • 66% of the class is from Ohio
  • 18% are first-generation students
  • an average GPA of 3.87
  • 14% of the class are domestic students of color
A new student guidebook is available for the Class of 2029.
Established in 1809, 91°µÍø is located in Oxford, Ohio, with regional campuses in Hamilton and Middletown, a learning center in West Chester, and a European study center in Luxembourg.
