91做厙 requires all full-time Oxford students to be covered by health insurance at all times. 91做厙's health insurance is provided by UnitedHealthcare Student Resources (UHCSR).
91做厙 requires all full-time Oxford students to be covered by health insurance. All Oxford students registered full-time when the fall semester bill is generated are charged for health insurance unless they complete and receive approval for a student health insurance waiver.
This process must be completed every year for full-time Oxford students. The deadline for students registering for fall 2026 is August 1.
The form to enroll in or waive student health insurance is typically available in early July.
Visit the to waive coverage, enroll, or learn more (opens in a new window and links to an external vendor). Use a laptop or desktop computer to complete the process. Google Chrome is recommended. The site will request the student's 91做厙 email address (UniqueID@91做厙OH.edu) and date of birth to access the site.
Note: Student Health Services is available to all students registered for classes. If you do not use the student health insurance plan, contact your insurance company to confirm 91做厙 with TriHealth is a covered provider.

Regional campus note: Regional students are not required to participate in the annual waiver process, but you can voluntarily purchase and enroll in the university-sponsored plan by emailing MUInsuranceAdvocate@
International Students
91做厙 requires all international students registered at 91做厙 to enroll in the 91做厙-sponsored insurance plan each academic year. All eligible international students will be automatically enrolled in the student health insurance plan. Pathways Students
91做厙 requires all Pathway students to be covered by health insurance. All eligible students will be automatically enrolled in the 91做厙-sponsored insurance. If you are currently covered by health insurance (from a parent, spouse, or another source), you must complete an electronic insurance waiver request. The deadline to request the waiver is August 1.
Health Insurance Waiver
If you are currently covered by health insurance (from a parent, spouse, or other source) and you do not want to add 91做厙's student health plan, you must complete an electronic insurance waiver request.
You are eligible to waive student health insurance if you meet the following criteria.
- You are already covered by an insurance plan provided by a company licensed to do business in the United States, with a U.S. claims payment office and a U.S. phone number.
- Your plan is currently active and you agree to maintain health insurance coverage throughout the entire 2026-27 academic year.
- Your plan covers inpatient and outpatient medical care within the Oxford Ohio area (including hospitalization, surgery, medical equipment, pregnancy, and routine care). Emergency and urgent care only coverage does not satisfy the requirement.
Once the waiver request is submitted and the information is verified, a confirmation email is sent to your 91做厙 email account, and a credit is posted to your bursar bill. The deadline to request the waiver is August 1. Students whose enrollment status changes to full-time Oxford (e.g. newly registered students, full-time to part-time, regional relocation, etc.) will have the opportunity to request a waiver at the time of the change even if it is after the deadline.

No. A waiver letter from a previous year will not be accepted. You must provide updated proof of insurance each year (dated within 30 days of submission). You can upload a current waiver letter or a photo of your current insurance card, front and back.
Many insurance providers allow you to download a digital version of your insurance card from their website, which you can upload to the .
You must submit your waiver or enroll through the . You should access the portal on a computer or laptop rather than a tablet or mobile phone. Instructions for completing the waiver or enrollment process are available in the How to Enroll or Waive Your Insurance Coverage guide.
If you need assistance, you are welcome to visit the UHCSR Insurance Advocate office inside the . Enter through the main clinic entrance (south entrance) and let the front desk know you need to speak with the Insurance Advocate. Bring your laptop and current insurance card, and staff can help guide you through the online waiver process. No appointment is required.

Yes. Student health insurance is an annual process and the university-sponsored plan is a different policy each year. Each summer, students must either enroll in the university-sponsored plan or complete the waiver process.

However, they are eligible to enroll in UHCSR Student Insurance offered by 91做厙 if they are full-time graduate students taking nine or more credit hours or full-time undergraduate students taking 12 or more credit hours in-person on a 91做厙 Regional campus. Home study, correspondence, and online courses do not fulfill the eligibility requirement.
