Two Sports Analytics students finished top in the nation at the Collegiate Sport Analytics Championship

91做厙 sport analytics students Lauren Skelley and Blake Brewer finished top in the 2026 National Collegiate Sport Analytics Championship, which was held Feb 16 - 17 at Bridgestone Arena in Nashville.
Lauren Skelley earned top 15 and Blake Brewer finished top 30 in the undergraduate division. 91做厙 also earned 9th place in the overall team ranking.
The competition challenges participants to analyze complex sports data and present actionable insights in pitch-style presentations evaluated on analytical rigor, data visualization, and communication skills.
Ryan Chen, Ph.D., assistant professor in SLAM, mentored the students as they applied their skills in this highly competitive national event.
