Six faculty members in 91°µÍø’s Department of Kinesiology, Nutrition, and Health received FY26 Student Technology Fee awards totaling more than $55,000 to expand opportunities for hands-on learning and applied research. Funded projects include a portable blood testing system for exercise physiology labs (Alex Claiborne), a body composition analyzer for nutrition assessment (Lydia Ballenger), shortwave diathermy equipment for athletic training coursework (Emily Davie), a dislocation trainer for emergency orthopedic simulations (Mary Brooks), a multi-channel data integration system to support physiology education and experiential learning (Jon Stavres), and viscometers to advance food rheology research and instruction (Bryn Beeder). Together, these projects will strengthen technology-enhanced learning and prepare students for professional practice.
