Agrivoltaics

Miami and Ohio

Strengthening rural communities and farm economies, 91°µÍø’s agrivoltaics pilot program will demonstrate how land can simultaneously produce food and energy. This dual-use model — placing solar panels above and between crop rows — creates new revenue streams for farmers, reduces costs for communities, and improves long-term resilience. 91°µÍø’s small-scale pilot program brings together farmers, energy providers, emerging agrivoltaics innovators, and researchers to test and refine these systems. By aligning agriculture, engineering, and environmental science, 91°µÍø is equipping a workforce ready for the clean energy economy while helping Ohio expand farm productivity, secure energy independence, and position itself as a leader in solar-powered agriculture.
